A modest, dignified everyday head covering that looks and moves exactly like your own hair. Our sheitels let you keep the mitzvah of covering your hair with confidence and comfort — at home, at work and at every simcha.
For women coping with chemotherapy, alopecia or hair loss of any kind, we create gentle, secure wigs that feel like your own hair and help you feel like yourself again.
Camera-ready hair with natural volume and a flawless finish for your moments on screen. Perfect for presenters, anchors and models who need perfect hair at a moment’s notice.
Losing your hair is hard enough. Our medical-wig process is designed to be gentle, private and as simple as possible.
We meet for a private, no-pressure consultation to understand your needs, your natural hair and the look you want. Where needed, we can come to you.
We match colour, length and texture to your own hair — ideally before treatment begins — and craft your wig from premium natural hair.
We fit, cut and style the wig to your face, and show you how to wear and care for it day to day.
Our medical wigs use special fixtures and grips that hold the wig securely even on a sensitive or bare scalp — so it sits comfortably and never shifts, even without any hair of your own to anchor it.
When treatment can’t wait, we can fast-track the preparation of your wig so it is ready exactly when you need it. Just tell us your timeline.
A medical wig is recognised as a rehabilitative aid, and all four Israeli health funds contribute towards its cost. Here are the main entitlements — and we are happy to guide you through the claim and issue the required “medical wig” invoice.
Women with alopecia totalis or universalis are entitled to a natural-hair wig of up to about ₪5,384, once every two years, with a dermatologist’s diagnosis. Oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation receive 33% up to about ₪333 from the basic basket, and a higher amount through their fund’s supplementary insurance.
Under Mushlam Gold/Platinum (6 months’ membership): up to 85% and about ₪1,512 once per calendar year, or roughly ₪250 co-pay with a contracted supplier.
Under Maccabi Gold/Sheli: about 83% up to roughly ₪1,673 once per calendar year. Recognised oncology patients need no referral.
Under Meuhedet Adif: 50% of the wig’s cost up to a ceiling of about ₪1,500.
Under Leumit Gold: up to about ₪1,593 once a year (Leumit Silver: up to about ₪626).
Amounts are index-linked, updated periodically and may vary by supplementary-insurance tier, so please confirm with your own fund. You will need a doctor’s letter (oncologist or dermatologist) and an original invoice marked “medical wig”; reimbursement applies to purchases made in Israel only.
Our custom natural-hair wigs start from ₪4,000, and toppers (kippah falls) start from ₪2,500. The final price depends on the length, the hair and the cap construction you choose — we’ll give you a clear quote at your consultation.
“Sheitel” is simply the Yiddish word for a wig, so the two mean the same thing. In practice, religious women who ask for a sheitel often prefer a more modest, less flashy style, while “wig” is used more broadly — at Alison WIGS we cater for every look and every woman.
Yes. We regularly fit wigs for women coping with chemotherapy, alopecia and other medical hair loss, and we use special fixtures that hold the wig securely and comfortably even on a sensitive or bare scalp.
You are always welcome to walk in, but we recommend booking an appointment: our wigmaker takes up to an hour to guide you and help you choose the perfect piece, and an appointment lets us give you our full attention.
With proper care, a well-made natural-hair wig can last for years of regular wear. Gentle washing, correct storage and occasional professional maintenance all help it keep its look — and we’re happy to guide you on caring for yours.
Yes. We’re happy to care for a wig you already own, and we partner with some of the best hairdressers and colour artists in the industry to restyle, cut and colour any wig so it looks spectacular again.
We serve clients in Hebrew, English and French, so you can choose your wig and receive guidance in the language you’re most comfortable with.
