Services & wig care
A natural-hair wig is an investment, and with professional care it stays beautiful, comfortable and full of life for years. At Alison WIGS, 148 Ahuza Street in Ra'anana, we don't only fit new wigs — we're here for the whole journey, to refresh, repair and restyle the wig you already own.
Whether you bought your wig from us or brought one from elsewhere, we'll care for it exactly as if it were made here — and bring back the look you first fell in love with.

Our services
Everything your wig needs to stay at its best — in one place.
Wash and set
Gentle washing, drying and a professional set that restore volume, shine and natural movement. Perfect as a refresh before an event, or as regular maintenance that extends your wig’s life.
Restyle and cut
Fancy a new look? We cut and restyle your wig — a shorter length, layers, a fringe or a whole new shape — so it flatters your face and feels current, without losing its familiar feel.
Colour — with specialist colour artists
For colour and highlights we work with some of the best colour artists in the industry — outside specialists who focus on wigs. Together we change the shade, add highlights or cover grey, so your wig looks spectacular again.
Repair and re-knotting
Over time the cap and lace need attention. We carry out repairs, replace grips and re-knot hairs along the hairline and parting, so the wig sits securely and looks as full and natural as it did on day one.
Wigs bought elsewhere welcome
Didn't buy from us? That's absolutely fine. We happily take in wigs from any source for a wash, restyle, colour or repair, and treat them with the same care we give our own.
Home visits
Getting to the salon isn't always easy. Where suitable, we can come to you at home — for a consultation, a fitting or care — so the whole experience is as comfortable and private as possible.
Pre-holiday appointments
Before Rosh Hashana, Pesach, Shavuot and through wedding season the diary fills up fast — everyone wants their wig looking perfect right on time. If you know an occasion or chag is coming, now is the moment to book.
Reserve your slot early and we'll make sure your wig is washed, set and ready to celebrate alongside you.
General questions
How much does a natural-hair wig cost?
Our custom natural-hair wigs start from ₪4,000, and toppers (kippah falls) start from ₪2,500. The final price depends on the length, the hair and the cap construction you choose — we’ll give you a clear quote at your consultation.
What is the difference between a wig and a sheitel?
“Sheitel” is simply the Yiddish word for a wig, so the two mean the same thing. In practice, religious women who ask for a sheitel often prefer a more modest, less flashy style, while “wig” is used more broadly — at Alison WIGS we cater for every look and every woman.
Do you fit wigs for chemotherapy or medical hair loss?
Yes. We regularly fit wigs for women coping with chemotherapy, alopecia and other medical hair loss, and we use special fixtures that hold the wig securely and comfortably even on a sensitive or bare scalp.
Do I need an appointment, and how long does a fitting take?
You are always welcome to walk in, but we recommend booking an appointment: our wigmaker takes up to an hour to guide you and help you choose the perfect piece, and an appointment lets us give you our full attention.
How long does a natural-hair wig last?
With proper care, a well-made natural-hair wig can last for years of regular wear. Gentle washing, correct storage and occasional professional maintenance all help it keep its look — and we’re happy to guide you on caring for yours.
Do you restyle or colour an existing wig?
Yes. We’re happy to care for a wig you already own, and we partner with some of the best hairdressers and colour artists in the industry to restyle, cut and colour any wig so it looks spectacular again.
Which languages do you serve clients in?
We serve clients in Hebrew, English and French, so you can choose your wig and receive guidance in the language you’re most comfortable with.
Glossary — wig and cap types
What is a lace-front (front lace) sheitel?
A lace front is a strip of very fine, sheer lace along the front hairline, with each hair tied in by hand. It creates an almost invisible hairline that looks like hair growing from your own scalp, so the wig can be worn back off the face.
What is a lace-top (top lace) sheitel?
A lace top has hand-tied lace across the crown and parting instead of only at the front. It reveals a natural-looking “scalp” wherever you part the hair and lets you part it in any direction — a very popular, lightweight sheitel.
What is a silk-top sheitel?
In a silk top the knots of hair are hidden beneath a layer of silk, so no knots are visible at the part. It gives the most realistic “scalp” of all, though the base is slightly thicker than lace.
What is a monofilament top?
A monofilament (or “mono”) top is a sheer mesh at the crown to which hairs are tied one by one. Like a lace top it mimics natural hair growth and allows multidirectional parting, and it is gentle on a sensitive scalp.
What are hand-tied and full-lace caps?
In a hand-tied or full-lace cap every hair is knotted individually across the whole base, rather than sewn in rows. This makes the wig especially light, breathable and natural in its movement, and lets the hair be styled in any direction.
What is a wefted (open) cap?
A wefted or “open” cap is built from rows of hair (wefts) machine-sewn onto the base with gaps between them. It is airy, gives plenty of volume and is more affordable than a fully hand-tied cap.
What is a fall, and what is a band fall?
A fall is a partial piece that covers the back and crown while a little of your own hairline is left out and blended in, often under a headband or hat. A band fall is a fall already attached to a comfortable band worn across the front of the head.
What is a kippah fall or topper?
A kippah fall (topper) is a smaller piece that covers only the top of the head. It is lighter and more comfortable than a full sheitel and is a popular, more affordable choice — at Alison WIGS toppers start from ₪2,500.
What is a bob?
A bob is not a type of cap but a haircut — a shorter length that falls around the chin or shoulders, cut straight or with soft layers. It is one of the most requested wig styles because it is elegant, easy to wear and easy to maintain.
What is European or Remy hair?
These describe the hair itself, not the cap. European hair is prized for its fine, soft texture, while “Remy” means the cuticles all run in the same direction, so the hair stays smooth, tangle-free and natural-looking for longer.
